We are actively recruiting elite CDL-A professionals for the role of XPO Logistics Local City Driver (Pickup and Delivery). In this critical position, you are the face of XPO to our commercial clients. You will navigate city streets and industrial parks, making multiple stops to pick up and deliver palletized freight at businesses, manufacturing plants, and retail distribution centers. Operational Responsibilities

• City P&D Operations: Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer combination (often utilizing 28-foot "pup" trailers or standard 53-foot dry vans) through heavily congested city traffic, tight industrial parks, and complex commercial loading docks.
• Freight Handling & Dock Work: This is a hands-on role. You will frequently utilize electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and forklifts to load and unload heavy, palletized LTL freight directly onto customer docks or via your truck's hydraulic liftgate.
• Logistics Documentation: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client. You must meticulously verify freight conditions, sign Bills of Lading (BOLs), process hazardous materials (HazMat) paperwork correctly, and utilize handheld scanners.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct rigorous DOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections. You must adhere strictly to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and XPO’s elite safety protocols.

Requirements

Must be 21+ years of age. You must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements (or willingness to obtain them within 90 days). A pristine motor vehicle record and safe driving history are mandatory. You must have the physical capability to maneuver heavy palletized freight. You must pass a strict DOT physical, background check, and drug test.
